Spiti Valley is indeed a remote and captivating region located in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Writer of Famous Jungle Book - Rudyard Kipling's description of it as "a world within a world" in his novel Kim still holds true, as Spiti Valley remains relatively isolated and hidden amid the Himalayan ranges. The name "Spiti" translates to "The Middle Land," emphasizing its location between Tibet and India. Bordered by Ladakh in the north, Tibet to the east, Kinnaur to the south east, and the Kullu Valley to the south, this peculiar cold desert spans an area of almost 8000 sq km. This region is known for its stunning landscapes, unique culture, and harsh, cold desert environment. Despite its relative obscurity, Spiti Valley has become a destination for adventure seekers and travelers looking for a unique experience. Visitors are drawn to its monasteries, ancient Tibetan culture, and breathtaking natural beauty. The valley is also known for its challenging trekking routes, high-altitude villages, and the stark contrast between the cold desert landscape and the vibrant, colorful monasteries that dot the region.

- Report us at Chandigarh by or before 11 am. Collect bikes at Chandigarh and ride to Nalagarh. Dinner will be followed by a briefing session.

NALAGARH TO THEOG/NARKANDA
- Altitude: 8,890 ft.
- After breakfast, our journey will span from Nalagarh to Narkanda.
- Theog/Narkanda: Both are towns in Shimla district of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is at an altitude of 2708 meters on the Hindustan-Tibet Road (NH 12) in Himachal Pradesh, India. It is surrounded by the Shivalik Range that spans a large part of Himachal Pradesh. They are quiet escape & one of the less crowded attractions

- Altitude: 8,530 ft.
- After breakfast, we will be leaving from Narkanda for Sangla.
- Sangla: Sangla is a riverside valley which is surrounded by stunning Himalayan mountains. Sangla area is full of apples, orchards and April-Sept is the best time to arrive here and explore.

SANGLA TO NAKO VIA RAKCHAM & CHITKUL
- Altitude: 11,895 ft.
- After breakfast, drive from Sangla to Nako via Chitkul.
- Chitkul is considered as the last village on the Old India-Tibet trade route. Most of the houses in Chitkul are built with wooden walls and wooden roofs.
- Nako lies in Upper Kinnaur on the edge of remote Spiti valley and an important center of Tibetan Buddhism. It has seven temples from different time periods distributed all over the village, including a monastic complex on its western edge. Nako is situated right on the Tibetan border over a beautiful lake.

NAKO TO KAZA VIA GUE, TABO & DHANKAR
- Altitude: 12,500 ft.
- After breakfast, drive to Kaza via Gue, Tabo, & Dhankar.
- Gue - Believed to be over 500 years old, the Gue mummy in Spiti belongs to Sangha Tenzin, a Buddhist monk who started the self-mummification process while still alive!
- Tabo - Tabo Mud Monastery (Chos-Khor Monastery which also known as Ajanta-Ellora of Himachal Pradesh
- Dhankar - Dhankar is just like another small village in the cold desert of Spiti Valley. Dhankar Monastery was built as a fort monastery on the Central Tibetan pattern.

KAZA TO CHANDRATAL VIA KEY, KIBBER, CHICHAM, LOSAR & KUNZUM PASS
- Altitude: 14,100 ft.
- After breakfast we will start our journey from Kaza to Key Monastery & Kibber village. Then proceed towards Chandratal.
- Key (KI) Monastery - Almost 7 km from Kaza, this Monastery, established in the 11th century, is the largest in Spiti valley.
- Kibber - India’s only wild life sanctuary in a cold desert is located here. The village is known for its scenic mountains, barren splendor and monasteries.
- Chicham Bridge is said to be the world's highest suspension bridge. Hight of this bridge is 13596 ft and connects two villages i.e. Kibber & Chacham.
- Kunzum La - It’s a high mountain pass situated on the eastern Kunzum Range. It stands at the elevation of 15,060 ft.
- Chandratal Lake (The Moon Lake) - The name of the lake originates from its crescent shape. The lake is situated on the Samudra Tapu plateau, which overlooks the Chandra River.

CHANDRATAL TO KEYLONG (BILING) VIA BATAL, KOKSAR
- Altitude: 10,100 ft.
- After breakfast ride to Keylong, Himachal Pradesh via Batal, Chhatadu, Koksar, Khangsar, Tandi, Wari, Kishori
- Keylong: it is the administrative center of the Lahaul and Spiti district. Keylong is an oasis of green fields with willow trees, murmuring water streams surrounded with brown hills and beautiful snow capped peaks.

KEYLONG TO BAIRAGARH
- Altitude: 7,050 ft.
- After breakfast we start from Keylong to Bairagarh via Udaipur, Killar (Pangi Valley) and Sach pass.
- Udaipur: The picturesque hamlet of Udaipur is located on the banks of Chandrabhaga River in Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh. Udaipur has importance because of ancient temples situated here.
- Sach Pass (Alt. 14,500 Ft.): Sach pass connects Chamba and Pangi valley of Himachal and is one of the difficult routes to travel. Every adventure lover seeks a Sach Pass trip once he covers Ladakh & Spiti and gets bitten by the incurable bug of adventure travel. Over the last decade, this mighty mountain pass has lived up to the stature of offering extreme adventure and horrible roads to any motor vehicle travel enthusiast.

- Dalhousie Town was named after Lord Dalhousie, who was the British Governor-General in India while establishing this place as a summer retreat. It is a hill station now in Chamba District (HP). Dalhousie, one of the favorites among most tourists traveling to Himachal Pradesh is famously known for its mesmerizing natural beauty and its old world charm.
